Scratch! The Easiest Programming Language

A TechTut, two hour kick-start course, to get up to speed fast, with block programming. Although easy to learn, this is no toy language, it is in fact, a very capable and expressive computer programming language.

This short course is designed to teach you just enough to get you set up with a new Raspberry Pi and make it react with the physical world.

This short course is designed to introduce you to drag and drop programming. Using simple lego type blocks as language constructs.

This is what we will cover:-

  • Running the Scratch Software.
  • Very quick guide to block based programming.
  • How to program simple animations.
  • Building a simple game.
  • Each attendee will take home a Free Raspberry Pi.
  • The Pi has the scratch programming language installed.
Price is £140, that includes a Pi, tea and sandwiches! This kick start course will run monthly. Normally on the first Monday of the calendar month. Space is only available for 5 attendees at any one time.

What happens on this kick start course?

After completing this class, you'll have a working knowledge on drag and drop based block programming. You'll learn the following programming concepts.

These constructs will be introduced during the building of a fun interactive game.
